DIY All Natural Body Spray/Perfume Recipe

I think this happens to be the most asked question I get in regards to what I use in replace of store bought body spray or perfume. The good news is? It's SO easy to make, switch up the scents and make it custom to you!

This is a recipe I use all the time! I finally said "bye bye" to store bought body sprays at the beginning of the year and have been making this instead. This combo I use is such a nice blend of flowery and tropical, which was great for spring and I'm loving it for summer now. But really, you can use whatever essential oil blend you'd like!

SO are you ready for me to show you how easy it is to make your own body spray/perfume?

I just use this small glass perfume bottle and refill it each time it runs out. About once a month. I got mine as a gift, but you can get one very similar to it on amazon here.

Ingredients/Directions:

-Small Glass perfume bottle (mine was a gift but i will post the link to a similar one in the comments)
-4 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil (i'll post more about this oil in the comments)
-3 droops of Grapefruit Essential Oil (I'll post more about this oil in the comments)
-Fill the glass bottle half way with Witch Hazel
-Fill the rest with distilled or boiled then cooled water
* twist the lid on and give it a good shake and BOOM. You have a very pretty smelling perfume!

Here is a little info about the AMAZING YLANG YLANG:

Bonus Tip: If you are detoxing from aluminum deodorant this is a great way to cover up the ermmm SMELL that you might be experiencing right now :P
. But really it's great for just every day use to smell good and know that you aren't spraying toxins on to your skin!

So what do you think? Would you try this? Also, if you have another blend you use for perfume I would LOVE to hear!

DIY All Natural Tick and Bug Spray Recipe (For People and Dogs)

Ohhh it's that time of year! Bug bugs bugs! We spend a lot of time outside and ticks are around so I wanted to find a more natural approach to keeping them off us!

What about I love this recipe is that it's safe for your dogs too! I spray this on both my dogs 1x a week to help keep ticks off them as they are tromping around our ranch.

Super simple, all natural and smells amazing.

Here is the recipe if you want to make it yourself.

Tick and Bug Spray (Safe for People and Dogs)
2 oz Witch Hazel
3 Drops Citronella EO
3 Drops Lemongrass EO
2 Drops of Lavender EO
(1) 2oz glass spray bottle

*Add all the ingredients in the spray bottle and give it a shake. BOOM it's ready to go!

I spray it on the back of the kids necks and on their arms and legs before we got outside to see the animals or play outside each day. They haven't had a single bug bite this spring!

That's one of my pups I was telling you about right after one of her earlier morning adventure through the oak grove. So loves to get dirty!

DIY All Natural Garden Bug Spray Recipe

Are you growing a garden this year? We are! And man do we hae some bugs flying around here.

So I tried out a few different types of all natural bug spray recipes and loved that the one that worked best was the SIMPLEST recipe. #winwin

What you need:
Empty Spray bottle
Water
Peppermint Essential Oil (High Quality)

For a 8oz spray bottle:
- pour 8 oz of water into spray bottle
- add 8 drops of peppermint EO
*Shake and spray!

Apply spray to every plant in the garden, *I would try to make sure you've sprayed the stems and undersides of leaves as well. Spray after every rainfall.

This will help keep bugs and mice away from your hard work!

I hope you find this recipe helpful!

*Bonus Tip: You can also use this EXACT same recipe as a coolant spray for a hot day! I keep a small spray bottle of this in my baseball mom bag for game days. I spray down the back of my son's neck to help keep him cool. He loves it!
